63. Relaxing Nature and Scenery on a Beautiful English Canal and a Visit to the Emergency Vets!

Hello and welcome to this weeks vlog from Narrowboat Life Unlocked. We are leaving this beautiful area of Derbyshire and head towards Marple in Stockport. I have to get Dexter to the vets, but I haven’t got a car and he can’t walk. Stunning drone shots of the wild flowers and the Peak Forest Canal. I film a woodpecker feeding its young at the nest site. Friends visit and we have an unexpected visit from a duck. I have to get dexter to the emergency Vet with Dexter.

We set off cruising toward Marple and it takes longer than we planned, after a couple of things held us up. We just make it under the broken lift bridge and although the sunset is stunning it’s really difficult to see the canal ahead.

We pass the Swizzels factory at New Mills, New Mills Marina and moor up for the night.

I have to make a scary journey by foot at midnight to retrieve the car. What was that going bump in the night?!
